Monday Aug 13, 2012
Monday Aug 13, 2012
In Podcast 002: 'Is investigating the paranormal dangerous?' we played a portion of an interview with John Safran a Immersive Documentary Film maker who has taken part in a lot of different religious and cultural rituals and practices. Here we have the full uncut 45 minute interview. Through this interview we ask him about the rituals he has taken part in (including Day of the dead ceremonies, crucifiction, placing curses and Exorcism) and whether he at any time felt he was in danger physically or spiritually. We also ask about upcoming projects, whether he is likely to tackle the paranormal and just how he first came to be a documentary 'prankster'. Take a listen to this very interesting interview as it weaves through all sorts of topics and do not forget to leave us your feedback. Wednesday Aug 08, 2012
Wednesday Aug 08, 2012
Welcome back to the Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast (There are a few gremlins in this recording and we are working on them) This week we are tackling the question 'Is investigating the paranormal dangerous?' The team, has a very brief discussion before we kick into the first segment. Debbie once again hits the streets and asks the public whether they think the paranormal and the research of the unknown can be dangerous. It would seem that Semaphore is quite well versed on this subject as the answers were all fairly well informed. Paul and Ash interview John Safran who labels himself a 'immersive documentary maker'. Having taken part in voodoo rituals, a crucifixion and a Exorcism John is very well placed to discuss our topic. Our listeners question comes from Brenton G who asks : 'Have you ever felt that you were in danger while investigating the paranormal?' Indeed, each of the team has but in different ways. Tash introduces 'Willydidj Djaykun' who is the artist that plays us out this week ending another massive show! The Paranormal Guide Podcast 20 06/07/12
Friday Jul 06, 2012
Friday Jul 06, 2012
Welcome to another weekly episode of The Paranormal Guide Podcast. This is part two of our six month retrospective of episodes past. In one of our early episodes we talked about Ouija Boards and whether we would use one. Do they hold any danger and what has given them a bad tag? The listeners question this week came from Neil of Murraylands Paranormal who asked (in one of our really early shows) what are our favourite pieces of investigation equipment and what do we recommend to someone starting out. It is interesting to see that some of our minds have changed as we have gotten to use more gadgets over the months and new favourites replace old favourites. With only one more show to come in this format we are looking forward to presenting to you our new and improved podcast coming soon! As always we love recieving your feedback. Friday Jun 29, 2012
Welcome everyone to podcast 19
With this podcast we celebrate six months of successful podcasting out to the paranormal community. It has been a good six months and we have grown both in listeners and in technology since our first episode on 22 December 2011. At first we were running hour long shows huddled around a digital voice recorder but now we have a more professional sound sytem and are running shorter but more frequent shows.
This podcast begins four weeks of retrospective looking back on the early shows and reanswering the same questions and discussing some of the same topics. We are doing this for two reasons: a) the old shows will soon be archived and b) to see if our opinions have changed on the topics. This first episode of retrospectives does show that we have changed our minds on some things!
We discuss our first topic on the show with the Bloodmoon of 2011 and our trip to Ebenezer Schoolhouse.Following that we reanswer our first listeners question 'Can a psychic fit in with a technology based team?' Tash was the one who asked that question before she had joined the team so we can answer it now that we have utilised her abilities for six months and also see how she feels on the subject.
