Wednesday Mar 20, 2013
Wednesday Mar 20, 2013
Welcome to podcast 019!
This week we talk about haunted objects and delve a little into cursed objects as well. 'Feet on the Street' asks the public whether they know of any haunted objects or what objects they think a spirit could possess/inhabit. We interview Alison Oborn all about her experiences with haunted objects including Old Tailem Town, a pioneer village filled with objects and buildings from the past. Listener's question asks us whether we believe we have come into contact or own any haunted objects. As usual a few interesting answers from the team. Vampyre Heart takes us out with 'Crazy Maybe'.Links and Resources

013: Season One Final Episode - The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast
Wednesday Oct 24, 2012
Wednesday Oct 24, 2012
Welcome to podcast 013! This week is a little bitter sweet as podcast 013 heralds the end of season one. For fourteen weeks (when you include podcast 000) we have delved into many and varied paranormal topics to present to you our thoughts and opinions. This week we are joined by Lyn and Wes our newest team members who join in on all the fun and memories. Please forgive the slightly hollow sound as we were recording somewhere new as we had our wrap party following this show (a lovely Sunday Beer and BBQ Bonanza!) We have interviewed many fantastic guests on the show and to all of you a massive thanks. Our shows structure and topic each week is based on who we have managed to snare for an interview so really without you all our shows would be very much different. We look back on some of our favourite moments and achievements before we tackle the many listeners questions we recieved for this episode. Some of them were very straight forward while some of the others took a little more discussion... and some of our answers may be seen as controversial but you are only getting our own personnal truths. Finally we thank all of the bands and artists who have allowed us the use of their music on the show but we managed to leave someone out (as always)... A HUUGE thankyou to Kevin Macleod who makes fantastic free and royalty free music. We have used quite a lot of it and the opening theme was also composed by him. Thankyou! So please join us as we sit in on one final episode for 2012. Do not fear as we will be back in early 2013 with an even better show! Until then... Welcome to podcast 011! This week we talk about some forms of paranormal and macabre entertainment that are not tv shows, documentaries or straight up ghost tours. There is a massive variety of stuff out there so hopefully we can present to you some other options for that dark fix. The first few minutes is almost a brainstorming session as we try to figure out what is out there... This show was very spur of the moment but this initial part done with we really sink our teeth into it. Feet on the Street asks people if they would go on a celebrity death tour. As always a variety of answers here! We interview the girls from APPI who have been on a celebrity death tour over in the US. We also discuss some other ideas too including how to make a different type of ghost tour to provide a new and interesting experience. Listeners question asks the team 'If we could go to the place of any celebrities death whose would it be?' Count Beetle takes us out this week with something new. I really liked this song. It is very Dark and suited this show perfectly. Friday Oct 05, 2012
Here is the full length interview with Lyon Paranormal a portion of which was featured in podcast 009. We interviewed Dave and Lorena Lyon for our show about Gaols, Asylums and Quarantine Stations as they have done a lot of travel around Australia visiting many of these locations. We begin the interview with the history of Lyon Paranormal, why they formed a team of their own and some of the work they have done. We talk in depth about hauntings in places of incarceration and detention, we find out about 'Solo Paranormal' before we finish with our three usual questions. Alison Oborn Interview, The Paranormal Guide
Friday Sep 07, 2012
Friday Sep 07, 2012
Here is the uncut interview with Alison who appeared on The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast 006: 'Ghost Tours'. In this half hour interview we get Alisons history with the paranormal, where it all began (including a haunting by a somewhat celebrity... with boggle eyes), the founding of her team: Paranormal Field Investigators 'PFI' and the creation of Adelaide's Haunted Horizons Ghost Tours 'HH'. We then tackle a very important question 'Is it a clash of interest to have a tour run by the people who investigated and gathered evidence at the tours location?' This is a question that popped up over the internet and through the South Australian paranormal community in 2011 and is something that needed to be tackled. Alison gives us a very well thought out answer. Finally we ask Alison about what was once her most disliked piece of equipment: the 'Ghost Box'. Some of you may notice this interview has been aired before, and yes it has but we like to follow up our Wednesday Podcast with a nice long interview with our featured guest :) Links and Contact Info: Adelaide Haunted Horizons Facebook: http://www.adelaidehauntedhorizons.com.au/ Adelaides Haunted Horizons Website: http://www.adelaidehauntedhorizons.com.au/ Alpine Nirvana: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alpine-Nirvana/226164014083782 Apparition Technologies: https://www.facebook.com/ApparitionTechnologies Ghost Shack: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ghost-Shack/208778072534059 Access Paranormal: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Access-Paranormal/149344445136596 Newcastle Ghost Tours: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Newcastle-Ghost-Tours/155386901179479 And as always for all feedback and suggestions http://www.theparanormalguide.net

006: Ghost Tours; The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast
Wednesday Sep 05, 2012
Wednesday Sep 05, 2012
Welcome to this weeks podcast! This is a rather interesting show as we take a look at ghost tours... not in specifics but more in general. We open the show by discussing some of the ghost tours we have been on (this was recorded prior to my visit to Casula Powerhouse btw) then get a little more stuck in on the types of tours we enjoy. There are many different types of tours out there ranging to your walking street tours to the overnight haunted investigation stays. 'Feet on the Street' asks the public 'What do you expect from a ghost tour?'. As always the answers are quite varied but run along a simple theme. Our interview is with Alison Oborn who owns and operatse 'Adelaides Haunted Horizons' south australias Premiere Tour company. We hit alison with some heavy questions including 'Why are some tours so expensive?'. We also get to hear both the good and the bad about tours from Alison who has the operators perspective. Our Listeners question comes from Kathy who asks 'How do we choose a ghost tour to go on; is there any specific things we look for?' Paul also throws his own question at the team 'If we could tour anywhere in the world where would you go?' Adelaides 'Cyclosa' finishes off our show with their song Chaos Unfolds. I hope you like your music HARD! so there you go, another jam packed episode. See you next time! 002: Is investigating the paranormal dangerous? - The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast
Wednesday Aug 08, 2012
Wednesday Aug 08, 2012
Welcome back to the Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast (There are a few gremlins in this recording and we are working on them) This week we are tackling the question 'Is investigating the paranormal dangerous?' The team, has a very brief discussion before we kick into the first segment. Debbie once again hits the streets and asks the public whether they think the paranormal and the research of the unknown can be dangerous. It would seem that Semaphore is quite well versed on this subject as the answers were all fairly well informed. Paul and Ash interview John Safran who labels himself a 'immersive documentary maker'. Having taken part in voodoo rituals, a crucifixion and a Exorcism John is very well placed to discuss our topic. Our listeners question comes from Brenton G who asks : 'Have you ever felt that you were in danger while investigating the paranormal?' Indeed, each of the team has but in different ways. Tash introduces 'Willydidj Djaykun' who is the artist that plays us out this week ending another massive show!
