000: What is The Paranormal Guide? - The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast
Wednesday Jul 25, 2012
Wednesday Jul 25, 2012
Welcome everyone! After a short holiday The Paranormal Guide Crew are back and now with a bigger and better podcast. This is TPG Podcast 000 in that it falls a little outside of our new series in that it is more of a 'pilot' episode, a dry run and a place where we can come to grips with our new format. In this episode we introduce ourselves and talk a little about what The Paranormal Guide is. Debbie takes to the streets and asks the public 'With a name like the Paranormal Guide what is it that you think we do?' Debbie does infact get some interesting answers to this question. Our interview is with Alex Hedge all the way out in Kentucky USA and we talk with him about his new piece of online social media networking built especially for paranormal investigators and those with a paranormal interest. Listeners question comes from 'John' who asks 'Will The Paranormal Guide always be a free service?' and finally we finish the show with a song by local Adelaide metal band 'Cyclosa'. It certainly is a big week for our first of the new podcast series. We hope you enjoy! Renata Daniel is a investigator and spiritual medium who owns and runs Newcastle Ghost Tours over in New South Wales. We chat about how Renata got started in the investigation and tourism industry as well as the darker history of Newcastle. This is a fantastic interview only marred by the fact I (Ashley Hall) was incredibly ill the day we recorded this and as such the audio suffered somewhat. We will be visiting with Renata again soon via the podcast to learn more about the fascinating history and hauntings of Newcastle. Welcome to another episode of The Paranormal Guide Interviews. This week we Interview Beth Luscombe founder of Access Paranormal and Investigator/Case Manager with West Sydney Paranormal Research (WSPR). This was a really great and fun interview as Ashley and Paul ask Beth about how she got started in the field and to later form a central network for all things paranormal in Australia. We then talk about Paracon Australia, Australias premiere paranormal conference. We also hear a very interesting story about one of Beth's experiences concerning a table during an investigation... you are not going to believe this one! We wrap up with the usual three questions. Welcome everyone to podcast 19
With this podcast we celebrate six months of successful podcasting out to the paranormal community. It has been a good six months and we have grown both in listeners and in technology since our first episode on 22 December 2011. At first we were running hour long shows huddled around a digital voice recorder but now we have a more professional sound sytem and are running shorter but more frequent shows.
This podcast begins four weeks of retrospective looking back on the early shows and reanswering the same questions and discussing some of the same topics. We are doing this for two reasons: a) the old shows will soon be archived and b) to see if our opinions have changed on the topics. This first episode of retrospectives does show that we have changed our minds on some things!
We discuss our first topic on the show with the Bloodmoon of 2011 and our trip to Ebenezer Schoolhouse.Following that we reanswer our first listeners question 'Can a psychic fit in with a technology based team?' Tash was the one who asked that question before she had joined the team so we can answer it now that we have utilised her abilities for six months and also see how she feels on the subject.

The Paranormal Guide Podcast 18 20/06/12
Wednesday Jun 20, 2012
Wednesday Jun 20, 2012
Welcome everyone to podcast 18 In this weeks podcast we discuss something quite different from anything we have talked about before. Residents of towns located near windfarms have been experiencing strange events. Animals behaving oddly (chickens laying eggs missing yolks), people suffering hallucinations and also not being able to sleep. Could the windfarms be causing this or might it be something else? Listeners question comes from Toni of Murraylands Paranormal who asks 'What programs do we use for audio review after an investigation and do we clean up our EVPs?' An interesting question and one Paul, the tech manager, really sinks his teeth into. Hello and welcome to The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast 16 This week we have quite an interesting show for you. Our topic is one that caused a bit of controversy through the paranormal community in mid 2011. There was a lot of debate on whether it was a clash of interest for a paranormal investigation team to run a tour through a location they have investigated. We have our say on the topic as both investigators, tourists and even a past tour guide worker. Our listeners question comes direct from Ashley's loungeroom where Johnny asks 'Do ghosts drink beer?' Being as that question was not going to allow a lot of discussion the question was extrapolated to "Do ghosts and spirits need anything to keep on going?" A much more interesting question! As always if you have a question or a comment on this podcast please leave a comment on our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/theparanormalguide Or on our website: http://www.theparanormalguide.net

The Paranormal Guide Podcast Alejandro the Dead Explorer 25/05/12

Friday May 25, 2012
This episode of TPG interviews is very special. Pavle 'Paul' Tipic (tech manager TPG) has rigged up a phone to our mixing desk enabling us to contact investigators, researchers and reporters anywhere in the world! To help us bring in this big event for TPG we have brought Alejandro from The Dead Explorer into our headsets to talk to the wider paranormal community. Alejandro lives in Austin, Texas and it is from there he sets out to explore the realms of the unknown joining other paranormal investigation teams along the way. He has been to some fantastic locations and we discuss these along with his current and future projects. As this is our first attempt at using the new over the phone feature it is a little raw. We will be working on this over the coming months and we hope to have Alejandro join us again in the future. It is a great privelege to have Alejandro on the show and if you would like to see his work check out the following: Subscribe! http://goo.gl/wY6b6 Facebook! http://facebook.com/deadexplorer Twitter! http://twitter.com/tweetalejandro Google+ http://goo.gl/Rm661 Blog! http://alejandroinaustin.com Lots to see and do everybody! Here we are with a new podcast for you all. This one is a little different as we have changed the format. We are now producing a weekly podcast but limiting the length to about twenty minutes which is a good lenght to listen to on your way to work, going for a evening walk or just kicking back and relaxing at home. In this episode we come up with our own top three haunted locations in Australia. now this was a little off the cuff and afterwards we remembered a whole bunch of other great places so chances are we will be doing this again soon! We then tackle our listeners question about how we go about accessing privately owned locations. We reveal our secret so hopefully we give you something that you can use.
