Alison Oborn Interview, The Paranormal Guide
Friday Sep 07, 2012
Friday Sep 07, 2012
Here is the uncut interview with Alison who appeared on The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast 006: 'Ghost Tours'. In this half hour interview we get Alisons history with the paranormal, where it all began (including a haunting by a somewhat celebrity... with boggle eyes), the founding of her team: Paranormal Field Investigators 'PFI' and the creation of Adelaide's Haunted Horizons Ghost Tours 'HH'. We then tackle a very important question 'Is it a clash of interest to have a tour run by the people who investigated and gathered evidence at the tours location?' This is a question that popped up over the internet and through the South Australian paranormal community in 2011 and is something that needed to be tackled. Alison gives us a very well thought out answer. Finally we ask Alison about what was once her most disliked piece of equipment: the 'Ghost Box'. Some of you may notice this interview has been aired before, and yes it has but we like to follow up our Wednesday Podcast with a nice long interview with our featured guest :) Links and Contact Info: Adelaide Haunted Horizons Facebook: http://www.adelaidehauntedhorizons.com.au/ Adelaides Haunted Horizons Website: http://www.adelaidehauntedhorizons.com.au/ Alpine Nirvana: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alpine-Nirvana/226164014083782 Apparition Technologies: https://www.facebook.com/ApparitionTechnologies Ghost Shack: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ghost-Shack/208778072534059 Access Paranormal: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Access-Paranormal/149344445136596 Newcastle Ghost Tours: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Newcastle-Ghost-Tours/155386901179479 And as always for all feedback and suggestions http://www.theparanormalguide.net

006: Ghost Tours; The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast
Wednesday Sep 05, 2012
Wednesday Sep 05, 2012
Welcome to this weeks podcast! This is a rather interesting show as we take a look at ghost tours... not in specifics but more in general. We open the show by discussing some of the ghost tours we have been on (this was recorded prior to my visit to Casula Powerhouse btw) then get a little more stuck in on the types of tours we enjoy. There are many different types of tours out there ranging to your walking street tours to the overnight haunted investigation stays. 'Feet on the Street' asks the public 'What do you expect from a ghost tour?'. As always the answers are quite varied but run along a simple theme. Our interview is with Alison Oborn who owns and operatse 'Adelaides Haunted Horizons' south australias Premiere Tour company. We hit alison with some heavy questions including 'Why are some tours so expensive?'. We also get to hear both the good and the bad about tours from Alison who has the operators perspective. Our Listeners question comes from Kathy who asks 'How do we choose a ghost tour to go on; is there any specific things we look for?' Paul also throws his own question at the team 'If we could tour anywhere in the world where would you go?' Adelaides 'Cyclosa' finishes off our show with their song Chaos Unfolds. I hope you like your music HARD! so there you go, another jam packed episode. See you next time! Friday Aug 31, 2012
Here we have the full and uncut interview with Christopher Saint Booth who appeared on The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast 005: Paranormal Documentaries. In this interview we as Chris how he and his brother Philip got involved in the movie making business and how they came about making documentaries all about the 'unknown'. When then dive into 'Unseen', the Booth Brothers latest project. Unseen contains all the parts of their documentaries that were cut out before distribution. The Reasons for these cuts are many and varied and Chris gives us a run down on how certain controversial topics do not make it into the final releases. We also ask whether the Booth Brothers are likely to move into other paranormal topics outside of the more spiritual realms. We get a great answer and one that should leave UFO enthusiasts very excited! We end the interview with three questions from fans, one strange request and of course our usual three questions we put to all of our guests. Take a listen, this was a fantastic interview! Welcome to this weeks podcast! We have a fantastic show for you as the TPG Crew talk all about paranormal documentaries and what our expectations are when setting out to watch one. 'Feet on the Street' has been hijacked by Paul who heads to work and asks 'What do you expect to see when watching a paranormal documentary?'. Paul works in a automotive developing and manufacturing plant so this is very much a different demographic than we have had before. Some of the answers are quite interesting yet hold to a similar theme. Our guest interview is with Christopher Saint Booth, film maker, producer, director, writer, composer, editor... well pretty much everything in the film making business. Chris talks all about the latest Booth Brother documentary 'Unseen' and a lot about the lessons he has learned while making his many paranormal films. Listeners question comes from 'Kathleen' who asks 'What would we make a paranormal documentary on if we were given the chance?' an awesome question with a few suprising answers from the team! We end this episode a little differently. Instead of music from a local artist we ask Christopher Saint Booth about the funny things that have happened during his paranormal shoots... and we get a great story! Until next time... This week we have Rosie Jones, Researcher and filmmaker who appeared on our weekly podcast 004: The Westall '66 Mass UFO sighting. Wednesday Aug 22, 2012
Wednesday Aug 22, 2012
Welcome to this weeks podcast! This podcast is a first for our new format as it is the first time we talk all about a UFO incident. On 6 April 1966 more than 200 students and teachers from two state schools in Westall, Victoria saw a low flying UFO. The incident went on for longer than twenty minutes. Military involvement, confiscation of media, destruction of evidence... a missing student all make for this to be Australias greatest and most unique UFO event. Feet on the street asks the public to look at a ufo encounter drawing and give us an opinion. (Feet on the street image here: http://www.theparanormalguide.net/apps/photos/photo?photoid=163500020) We interview Rosie Jones who wrote, directed and edited the feature documentary all about the event 'Westall '66: a suburban UFO mystery'. We ask Rosie about her troubles in accessing information and what the authorities had to say. Listeners question comes from Lily (Pauls sister) who asks "What do we think the object was?" 003: What is a Lightworker? - The Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast
Wednesday Aug 15, 2012
Wednesday Aug 15, 2012
Welcome to Weekly Podcast 003! What is a Lightworker? This podcast was a little more challenging than usual as normally the majority of The Paranormal Guide Team knows at least something about the subject. When it comes to Lightworkers only the team medium Tash had knowledge as such Tash does a majority of the speaking and pretty much carries the show (thankfully!) Debbie once again hits the streets and asks people whether they think positive energy can help out when it comes to dealing with negative spirits. We get some awesome responses and are once again suprised by the knowledge some of the public has on the subject. We interview Andrea Kaldy from 'Validate' who has been a lightworker for a number of years. Andrea provides us with her own definition on what a lightworker is and gives us some examples on how her ability is put to use in the field. Atilla Kaldy also weighs in with his analytical eye on the subject. so there you go, a husband and wife team giving both perspectives. The listeners question comes in from Trijoni G who asks 'As a team or individually have we ever sought out the skills of a lightworker?' and 'Do we ever think we will come across a case or situation where will will need the services of a lightworker?' This weeks featured artist is 'Vintage Inc' and his experimental free form track 'Young Traveller'. This is a very awesome and chilled track to end our show! Wednesday Aug 08, 2012
Welcome back to the Paranormal Guide Weekly Podcast (There are a few gremlins in this recording and we are working on them) This week we are tackling the question 'Is investigating the paranormal dangerous?' The team, has a very brief discussion before we kick into the first segment. It would seem that Semaphore is quite well versed on this subject as the answers were all fairly well informed. Paul and Ash interview John Safran who labels himself a 'immersive documentary maker'. Having taken part in voodoo rituals, a crucifixion and a Exorcism John is very well placed to discuss our topic. Our listeners question comes from Brenton G who asks : 'Have you ever felt that you were in danger while investigating the paranormal?' Indeed, each of the team has but in different ways.
